Meaning:
Reasoning is the process of thinking in a logical way to form the conclusion or judgment.
It needs an exposure to find out own way to handle tricky questions.

Types of Reasoning:
There are 3 type of Reasoning:
    Ø  Non-Verbal Reasoning,
    Ø  Verbal Reasoning
    Ø  Logical Reasoning
              
           ·         Non-Verbal Reasoning:
  • *      Non-verbal reasoning indicates that it “does not involve any language”.

  • *      Question appear in pictorial and diagrammatic form.

§  Finding series, Image analysis, finding similarities, identifying relationship & difference between shapes and pattern.
            ·         Verbal Reasoning:
  • *         Verbal reasoning is the ability to “understand and logically work through concepts and problems expressed in words.
  • *         Verbal reasoning requires

§  Logical reasoning
§  A reasonable knowledge of English language &
§  Advanced knowledge of Maths.
  • *         Questions based on:

§  Analogy, classification, direction sense test, blood relation etc.
             ·         Logical Reasoning:
  • *      Logical Reasoning is the process of “deriving a logical inference from a hypothesis through reasoning.
  • *      In logical reasoning one should draw conclusions which is reasonable from sentences and paragraphs.
  • *      Questions based on:

§  Interpreting sentences, deriving conclusions, extracting logics from statements, deriving courses of action from the statements, arguments, assumptions and conclusions from the given statements.
